This is a Twitter-like social network focused on sharing your favorite music. It's kind of like sitting around playing records for your friends, except, you know, online.
While you're technically allowed to post anything, we'd prefer you post links/embeds to music you've been enjoying with an optional comment. If everyone does that then we can all discover amazing new music together. Sound good? Sign up!
I made this site after thisismyjam.com shut down. It was one of my favorite social networks because every post was a song someone loved, which turns out to be an amazing way to discover new music and connect with people. But when the founders decided to shut it down in 2015, 200,000 people lost their community. Why should a community be lost just because three people can't sustain the site? Shouldn't a community be able to sustain itself? To see if that's possible, I decided to create this site using Mastodon, a decentralized Twitter-like platform. Let's see how it goes!
